[ Rundown ]
Crossover for Charity is an event held by Neoluminum, The Half Heart Project, AOL Collective, SAFEinSOUND, Unbeyond Anthologies, Novatone, Shuttle Recs & AMFLARA! The goal of the event is to bring our communities together to create a charity compilation.
There are two ways to join the event!
Random Pairings
Picture something like Better Together by SILKENWOOD, Fusion Dance by AMFLARA or Duality by Juxtaposed.
If you use this sign up option, you will be assigned into a group with 3-5 other people, and you will then have one month to make a song with those people!
You can only enter the random pairings once.
Custom Groups
If you use this sign up option, you will be able to enter your own custom group, and you will then have one month to make a song together! Optionally, you can also sign up under a group alias!
Custom groups must have a minimum of 3 people. There is no maximum amount of people for custom groups.
You can enter into as many custom groups as you want.
- You must be in the Crossover for Charity Discord server in order to participate in the event.
- Therefore, you must also be 13 or over to participate in the event.
- For custom groups, only one person must sign up for the whole group.
- Make sure you have the go from all your group members before signing up!
- You must start and complete your projects throughout the duration of the event, from September 1st to October 1st.
- If someone in a group is caught ban evading, your submission will be instantly removed.
- We urge you to not use unauthorized samples in your tracks for copyright reasons.
- Winning entries will be selected by the event organizers and announced on October 6th @ the Neoluminum YouTube.

- What charities are being donated to?
- Each label will be supporting its own charity and the funds will be divided between all the charities!
- Neoluminum will be supporting The Trevor Project!
- The Half Heart Project will be supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention!
- AOL Collective will be supporting the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund!
- Novatone will be supporting the Save the Music Foundation!
- Each label will be supporting its own charity and the funds will be divided between all the charities!
- Do I need to have released on a label to participate?
- Nope!
- Will everyone who signs up for the random pairings get a group?
- Yes! Everyone who signs up will be assigned a group. Keep an eye out in the Discord server for the pairings!
- Do I have to collab with artists from other labels if I do a custom groups?
- You do not have to, but it is recommended to work with new people you haven’t met before!
- Will there be a certain musical style I have to follow?
- No, you can make whatever genre you want!
- How short/long should my track be?
- We’ve only ever accepted tracks over 1:40, but you do have a month to flesh out your ideas! Also, we’ve accepted a 14 minute track before, so my best suggestion is don’t make it excruciatingly long to get through.
- How many tracks will the final compilation have?
- We don’t have a cap yet! We’ll figure that out once we get everyone’s submissions.
- Will the compilation be distributed?
- Yes, the compilation will be distributed by Neoluminum via “Crossover for Charity”.
- Will Crossover for Charity hold another event like this?
- We’ll see! For now there’s no plans beyond this one, but depending how it goes we may consider doing it again sometime!
- What will happen to the Discord server after the event?
- We’ll see! If people like the idea of having a sort of underground label hub hangout spot, we may consider keeping the server open! If it becomes too much to handle, we may close the channels but keep it around for archival.
